How do you clean a bell ProTint?
Use a liberal amount of lens cleaner and do not scrub the shield. Gently wipe away the dirt and pat the shield dry. The inside of Bell Fog Free shields and inserts should be cleaned by rinsing with warm water only. Automotive wax (not “cleaner wax”, which has abrasives) can be used to protect the fog free coating.

How long do photochromic visors last?
The manufacturers suggest storing the helmets in darkness to prolong the life of the photochromic shields. How long your faceshield will last depends — but I would say count on replacing it after two years.
How do you clean a Bell helmet shield?
Remove the shield from the helmet and inspect for scratches or imperfections that may cause a decrease level of vision clarity. Using only the highest quality of automotive, water-based glass cleaner, gently clean the visor using a microfiber cloth to assure a scratch-free cleaning.
Can I tint my motorcycle helmet?
Yes, it is legal to tint a motorcycle helmet visor and is a very simple process to do with very few tools. However, a plain clear plastic visor will not block out any sunlight. While helmet manufacturers offer some options to buy a shaded visor, they can be a bit pricey depending on the helmet.
