What is Hiperco 50?
Hiperco 50 is a cobalt-iron-vanadium soft magnetic alloy for high flux levels. It has high permeability at high inductions and low d-c coercive force. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties.
What is Hiperco?
The Hiperco® 50 family of alloys (Hiperco 50, 50A, 50 HS) are iron-cobalt-vanadium soft magnetic alloys comprised of 49% cobalt, 2% vanadium, balance Iron. These three unique soft magnetic alloys exhibit high magnetic saturation of 24 kilogauss and excel in applications where this attribute is needed.
What is Inlac coating?
Coatings. Inlac. Inlac coating is applied in a continuous process on coils of strip to create a mix of magnesium-based compounds on both sides of the strip surface. This surface layer acts as an inert barrier between laminations during heat treating and prevents adhesion.
What is the chemical composition of Hiperco 50™?
Hiperco 50 and Hiperco 50A are soft magnetic alloys of 49 wt.% cobalt. 2 wt.% vanadium and balance iron. They are commonly used in electric and magnetic applications where high magnetic saturation is required. The chemical composition of Hiperco alloy 50™ is given in the following table.
What is the BH loop for Hiperco 50?
Magnetic hysteresis (BH) loop for Hiperco 50 [2]. Hiperco 50 and 50A both have greater mechanical strength than other soft magnetic alloys. This makes them ideal for applications containing parts which undergo significant mechanical stress such as electrical motors and generators.
What are the applications of the hiperhiperco 50 and 50A magnets?
Hiperco 50 and 50A are utilised in applications where this combination of high magnetic saturation and mechanical strength are required simultaneously with a low material weight.
What is the difference between hithiperco 50 and 50A?
Hiperco 50 and 50A both have greater mechanical strength than other soft magnetic alloys. This makes them ideal for applications containing parts which undergo significant mechanical stress such as electrical motors and generators. One of the main differences between the two alloys lies in their mechanical properties.
