The Sled Base needs to have enough overhang on the left side of the table top do be able to clamp the Miter Fence while setting the Miter Angle. And you need a little space to the right of the right-hand table slot. So 29″ wide works for my situation while giving me enough room to set up for segments as wide as 3-4 inches.
