What is Red Raider Orientation?
Red Raider Orientation (RRO) is an opportunity for new students to learn about Texas Tech University and the programs and services offered. Red Raider Orientation was designed to guide each new student at Texas Tech to success.
How Much Is Red Raider Orientation?
Yes. The RRO fee for a one-day session is $60, and a two-day session is $175. This includes access to the online orientation modules, access to information and resources to help you be successful, pays for advanced technology, materials and much more.
How do I change my Red Raider Orientation date?
Changing Your Major Go to your “Resources and Forms” tab. Select Major Change. Choose your desired major from the available options, then click save.
What is Red Raider Camp?
Red Raider Camp is an exciting next step for new students attending Texas Tech University. RRC is a three-day adventure in Brownwood, TX led by current Red Raiders who are prepared to share their personal experiences and keys to success for being at Texas Tech and Lubbock.
Is Red Raider Orientation in person?
Raiderland Experience is an in-person, on-campus event that will allow you to interact with other incoming students as you tour Texas Tech and Rawls College. The one-day program will be offered multiple times each week throughout the summer. Though this experience is optional, you are highly encouraged to attend.
Does Texas Tech require TSI?
Is TSI an admissions requirement? No, however, you may not register for any classes until you have tested or provided proper documentation of TSI compliance. Testing through our remote system will allow Texas Tech to access scores for Texas Tech students.
How do you pay for Red Raider Orientation?
The RRO fee is added to your TTU billing account when you attend orientation and CANNOT be paid in advance or at orientation. You may visit www.sbs.ttu.edu to pay your TTU bill. All fees are non-refundable, non-negotiable and cannot be discounted.
Can you change your major after orientation?
If you’ve changed what you want to major in between the time you apply and the time you begin classes, you can often change it at your freshman orientation when you meet with an advisor to create your first semester schedule. They’ll often change your major for you without you needing to do any additional work.

2021 Training Camp is taking place at Raiders Headquarters and Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center in Henderson, Nev.
How do I submit immunization records to Texas Tech?
Step 1: Register a new account with your @ttu.edu email address. Step 2: Chat with a Med+Proctor representative and request your records be transferred to your new account. You are all set!
Who is exempt from TSI test?
Other TSI Exemptions You are serving on active duty as a member of the armed forces of the United States, the Texas National Guard, or as a member of a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States and have been serving for at least three years preceding enrollment.
What is TSI hold?
The “TSI Hold New Student” is a temporary hold placed on a student account until the TSI Compliance Office has had a chance to review your files.
