What is the difference between DeWalt DW745 and DWE7480?
The DeWalt DW745 and DWE7480 are two table saws that seem to be remarkably similar at first glance. For instance, the DW745 is lighter, cheaper, and a little better in terms of the overall warranty. The DWE7480 is more powerful and offers a greater rip capacity for larger workpieces.
What replaced the DWE7480?
Amazon says that the DWE7480 is discontinued and that the DWE7485 is “a newer model of this item.” Although Amazon doesn’t have it in stock yet, Home depot has quite a few of the new saws in stock at local stores.
Can I use a dado blade on DW745?
No, we do not recommend using a dado blade on the DW745 Table Saw. There is a misprint in the DW745 type 2 manual that says you can use a dado blade, this information is incorrect and is being revised.
