What supplies do you need for a goat?
Basic Supplies
- hay feeder/rack (we use a rack for alfalfa and horse hay bags for grass hay)
- feed buckets/pans.
- water bucket (we like automatic ones)
- mineral feeder (for loose minerals)
- rake.
- pitchfork.
- broom (goat berries are hard to rake!)
- horse brush.
What do goats need on a farm?
Feeding Goats Goats require additional hay even when they have pasture, as they can’t eat all fresh grass. You can feed hay free-choice—give them as much as they desire, up to about four pounds. 7 Young goats and pregnant or milk-producing does require some goat “concentrate,” or goat chow.
