Jigsaw/Film synopsis

Is Jigsaw a good film?

Seven years after Saw 3D, you would’ve expected a back-to-basics approach, but Jigsaw doubles down on the franchise’s twisty storytelling. It feels too long, and it’s only 90 minutes. Though slicker and better-directed than any prior Saw film, Jigsaw’s tame gore and rehashed plot twists make it mostly fall flat.

Is Jigsaw actually scary?

See, the Saw films have a bit of a reputation for not actually being scary movies. Was Jigsaw based on a true story?

Although many people are inspired by movies, and there may most certainly have been some notable murders that could have been inspired by Saw’s fictional killer Jigsaw… there is no real Jigsaw killer. The Saw franchise, no matter how creative, is not based upon a true story.

Why does Jigsaw have a pig mask?

After some discussion, the idea of Jigsaw wearing a rotting pig’s head was chosen to symbolize his pessimistic view of the world and the disease that he was “rotting” from.
