Dalan, or Old Dalan as people in Rabanastre like to call him, is a character in Final Fantasy XII. He lives in Rabanastre’s Lowtown, and gives advice to his long-time friend Vaan.
Where is the thirsty sky pirate?

After watching two Imperial Swordsmen hassle a local peddler, Vaan will steal a pouch full of gil from them. He then runs into Penelo on the bridge in the East End of Rabanastre. The two will have a short discussion where Penelo reminds Vaan that he needs to return to Migelo to help him with some errands.

Here are the steps you will need to take to do so:
- Teleport to Kugane.
- From the aetheryte, use the aethernet to teleport to the Kogane Dori Markets.
- Speak with Keiten at (X: 12.2, Y:12.3)
- Start quest “Dramatis Personae”
- Complete that short quest.
- Start second quest “A City Fallen”
How old is Fran Viera?
Fran is also known as “the master of weapons.” She comes from Eruyt Village, where her two sisters Jote and Mjrn still live. Viera age much slower than Humes, placing Fran anywhere over 50 years old.

Dalan has no more voiced scenes after Basch fon Ronsenburg fully joins the player’s party, but if the player returns to him after, Dalan may offer hints as to the party’s next objective, in essence acting as a guide to the player should they lose their place in the story. Old Dalan inadvertently caused a naming dispute for Vaan.

He is adorned in East Indian beadwork, and keeps a leporine creature as a pet. He wears a brown shirt and a white cropped jacket over it.
