TXU Energy customers can now pay their electricity bills at popular retail stores like Kroger and Super S. Customers looking for the nearest payment locations can simply visit txu.com/paymentlocator, type in their zip code, and find over 3,000 locations to choose from.
Can I pay my TXU bill with a credit card?
You can pay by cash, debit card or credit card. Cash payments can be made at any of our authorized payment locations. Go to txu.com/payment locations for a complete listing. Credit and debit card payments can be made online at txu.com or via our automated system at 1-800-818-6132.

Why is my TXU bill so high?
Weather is the number one cause of high bills. Significant swings in outside temperature may make your electric cooling and heating equipment operate for longer periods of time than usual. Only a few days of extreme temperatures can increase your usage and cause your bill to be noticeably higher.
What credit cards does TXU accept?
TXU Energy accepts all credit cards with the Visa® and MasterCard® logo, as well as most debit cards containing the Pulse, Accel, NYCE or STAR logos on the back of the card, if your account is eligible to receive these types of payments.
Why is my Reliant bill so high?
If your contract ends and you have not signed up for a new plan, you can be defaulted to a variable-rate month-to-month plan, which can significantly increase your monthly electricity bill. Reliant customers are notified before their contracts expire and are given new plan offers to prevent this from happening.
Is TXU variable rate?
TXU Energy doesn’t offer variable rate electricity plans.
What is TXU late fee?
5%
Late Payment Penalty – For late payments or past due or delinquent balances, we may charge a one-time penalty of 5% of the past due balance. Insufficient Funds Fee – We may charge a fee up to $30 for each payment that is not processed due to insufficient funds or other type of bank return or payment rejection.
Does TXU Energy give extensions?
