Not overly sweet but something you would find yourself craving for regularly and never tire of. Since then Awfully Chocolate has grown from a one cake shop in Katong into a group of shops, cafes and restaurants bearing our love for dark chocolate, both in Singapore and overseas.

Who founded Awfully Chocolate?
Lyn Lee
Awfully Chocolate was founded by Lyn Lee, who quit her job as an attorney to start the business in 1998. Its first store was in Katong in Singapore. Only one type of cake was sold: a round six-inch chocolate fudge cake called the “All-Chocolate Cake”.

All of Chocolate Origin’s products, including their ice cream and chocolate truffles, are halal-certified. It features rich, luxurious chocolate ganache between layers of chocolate sponge, finished with a smooth chocolate glaze.

While their products are halal-certified, Chocolate Origin’s physical stalls are not halal-certified at this point due to manpower constraints.
