Where is it legal to land a seaplane?
In a very broad sense, seaplanes may land on any open navigable waterway, or private body of water with the water owner’s permission. Some publicly-owned waters are open, some are closed, and others have various restrictions.
Can you land a seaplane anywhere UK?
Seaplanes are not a common sight on UK waterways, so many boat owners are concerned at how aircraft and boats mix safely. We operate 200 flights per month and can land away from all the other boats.

Yes, a license is required to fly our gyroplanes! An existing pilot with a minimum of a sport pilot rating may operate a gyroplane after obtaining a gyroplane endorsement on their existing pilot license.

What is a give way vessel?
Give-way vessel: The give-way vessel must yield and get out of the way of the approaching vessel. When two vessels approach one another, it is the give-way vessel’s obligation to take early and substantial action to avoid a collision.
What license do you need to fly a gyrocopter?
Sport Pilot license
You will need a minimum of a Sport Pilot license (rotorcraft category / gyroplane class) to fly an AR-1 with a passenger (during daylight hours only). A Sport Pilot license requires passing both a written knowledge exam, and a practical flying test.
