How is Victoza packaged?
Victoza® is supplied as a clear, and colourless or almost colourless, solution for injection in a pre-filled pen. Each pen contains 3 ml of solution, delivering 30 doses of 0.6 mg, 15 doses of 1.2 mg or 10 doses of 1.8 mg. Victoza® is available in packs containing 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 pens.

Can a non diabetic take Victoza?
Liraglutide (Victoza), a glucagon-like peptide-1 analogue, was approved several years ago for treating patients with type 2 diabetes. Because liraglutide promotes weight reduction, the FDA approved it for this indication in nondiabetic patients in December 2014 (branded as Saxenda for weight loss).
Does Victoza lower blood sugar?

Can Victoza be taken with insulin together?
Do not mix insulin and Victoza® together in the same injection. You may give an injection of Victoza® and insulin in the same body area (such as your stomach area), but not right next to each other. Do not share your Victoza® pen with other people, even if the needle has been changed.
Can you use Victoza and insulin together?
Victoza and insulin can be concomitantly used together, but they should never be mixed together into the same injection. Indeed, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reported that Victoza and insulin can be used in separate injections with no observed drug to drug interactions.
Does Victoza cause kidney disease?
Unfortunately, in some patients, Victoza has caused severe side effects — including kidney damage and kidney failure. One consumer advocacy group, Public Citizen, is now calling for Victoza to be banned immediately in the United States because the risks of the medication outweigh its benefits.
