A huge new update is available now for the Nintendo Switch version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution in conjunction with the PS4 and Xbox One release of the game. With this new update comes new cards and the swap over to Master Rule 5, which completely changes the way the card game is played.

When was the last update for Yugioh legacy of the Duelist?
Play against Duelists across the world using the Nintendo Online service. In March 2020, the game received a free update to implement the April 1 rule revisions. This update also added over 1000 cards and over a dozen new characters originally from later seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.

Why is Yu-Gi-Oh called Yu-Gi-Oh?
The 遊戯王 (Yugiō), which is stylized 遊☆戯☆王, means “king of games”. The word 遊戯 (yugi, game) is also the name of the protagonist. Kazuki Takahashi has also stated that the character names “Yūgi” and “Jōnouchi” are based on the word 友情 (yūjō “friendship”). This pun was represented with a Yu-Gi-Oh!
