I’ve found on my electric stove I can turn it to Medium Heat, put the Whirley Pop on the stove then put it 1 tablespoon of refined coconut oil and while that is heating measure out 1/4 to 1/2 cup of white popcorn kernels and add that.
Does the whilypop have plastic gears?
The Stainless Steel model is superior! I was a little concerned as some reviews had said the stainless steel Whilypop was cheap, had plastic gears, or too heavy. I believe that some may be referring to the silver colored aluminum version which does have plastic gears.

If you scorched the inside of your stainless steel popper, the burnt oil will not come off with typical cleanser. Do not use super abrasive scrubbers or comet.
