She tells Ryan that Joe wrote her a letter. When the FBI informs Claire of Joe’s second escape, she wants to talk only to Ryan. In the season 1 finale, Claire is injured by Molly, one of Joe’s followers. In the beginning of Season 2, Mike states that she died of her injuries.
