Our goal is to provide interns with opportunities to build independence in developing thorough assessments, providing appropriate interventions, and creating unique programming. Interns are trained and supervised on individual rotations by experienced and certified child life specialists.

What is a child life internship like at the Children’s Hospital?
The Child Life Department at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio offers a 15-week/600 hour clinical accredited child life internship designed to give the intern maximum experience in the hospital setting. The first week is an orientation to our hospital and the Child Life Department.
