1.2. Wee Jasper Reserves Trust is administered by the Crown Lands Division of the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment. 2.1. Visitors (including campers – see item 5 for further information) should use Reserves in accordance with these Conditions of Use and generally accepted standards of behaviour.
Can you take a caravan to Wee Jasper?
All Reserves are accessible by any type of vehicle and are suitable for tents, caravans, camper trailers, camper vans and RV’s.
Is Wee Jasper Road sealed?
From Canberra via Uriarra Crossing, Fairlight Road and Mountain Creek Road the road is 100% sealed road. The road from Tumut is about 50% unsealed. Please note there is no fuel available at Wee Jasper, and no shop – nearest shopping is Yass 52km.

Wee Jasper Reserves is home to four (4) different camping reserves, all of which are completely unique in surroundings and conditions. All four (4) reserves, have access to potable (drinking) water and are dog friendly. In that, please be mindful of the other campers, wildlife and additional dogs on the Reserves.

Is the road from Tumut to Canberra sealed?
The distance between Canberra and Tumut is 120km with 44km of unsealed road. The drive starts from the western side of Canberra, just to the west of Mt Stromlo. The road snakes its way up the Brindabella Range towards Picadilly Circus, the first section of the road is sealed before turing into gravel.

From ACT. All Reserves (except Carey’s) are south of Wee Jasper village, so turn left at the ‘T’ intersection in the village until you get to the next ‘T’ intersection (Nottingham/Tumut Road) – then follow the signs to the various Reserves.
Can you fish at Wee Jasper?
Billy Grace camp area in Wee Jasper is located on the banks of the creek. There are deep waterholes perfect for swimming in, as well as shallow areas with small rapids. The creek is apparently also good for fishing. It is meant to have Trout and Murray cod in it as well as other varieties of fish.
Can you go camping with dogs?
The majority of campsites that do allow dogs ask that they be kept on leads at all times, especially those on farms with livestock. Some campsites are so dog friendly that they even offer dog-walking areas or dog runs so you can exercise your pet away from the other campers.
Is there phone reception at Wee Jasper?
As of 2018, Wee Jasper now has phone reception. This is a Telstra tower and your phone may receive reception at all of the reserves. Please remember that conditions of service can change and you may get enough reception to send a text or answer a call, but the internet and 4G may be effected.

Why not pack your hiking boots and enjoy some bushwalking along the Goodradigbee River or perhaps walk alongside parts of the famous Hume and Hovell Walking Track starting on the Fitzpatrick Trackhead.
How do I get to Wee Jasper from Yass?
If travelling via the Hume Highway, you can get to Wee Jasper from Yass – turn off into Yass town and follow the signs along Wee Jasper Road.
