Can I use PHOSfree with a cartridge filter?
2. Add: 2L of Natural Chemistry PhosFree for 80,000L. Shake the bottle up before adding. For cartridge filters: Add dose 1L at a time, 3 – 4 hours apart.
Why does my DE filter keep clogging?
DE Filter Grids Clogged with Oil Much is brought in on the wind, or dragged in by swimmers. Pool lubricants and some gel type pool clarifiers can add oils to your pool, which eventually is trapped in the filter grids.
Can you add too much PHOSfree?
For DE & Cartridge Filters: Do not add more than 1.5L (48oz) at a time. If more than 1.5L (48oz) is needed to treat, be sure to clean or backwash the filter between treatments.
Can you put too much phosphate remover in a pool?
We do not recommend adding unnecessary chemicals into your pool. Remove phosphates from your pool when levels exceed 1000 ppb. Once your phosphate levels exceed 1000 ppb, I would consider purchasing a phosphate remover. Keep in mind though, phosphate remover will not rid your green pool.
Can I add Phosfree and shock at the same time?
Yes you still need to shock your pool and use muratic acid to lower the ph. You want to add phosfree when the chlorine level is lower than 5ppm, and you want to wait 48 hours after phosfree to shock your pool. Pool Perfect + Phosfree has no effect on chlorine and pH levels.
Is no phos the same as Phosfree?
In essence they are both the same. If you look at Leslie’s brand label closely you will notice that Natural Chemistry’s logo is also part of it, as proof they blend product for Leslie.
Why do I have to backwash DE filter so often?
Whenever the filter fills up with the dirt/debris it reduces the flow of water to your pool. Low flow = poor circulation which will lead to algae in the pool. Bottom line, the filter must be backwashed on a regular basis to ensure that your pool water is clear.

You can pair Super Phosphate Remover with Ultimate Water Clarifier to help restore your pool’s clarity faster. Your filter will generally remove the bonded phosphates from the water within several hours. Be sure that your pool is balanced and your filter is clean or backwashed before application.
Will Phosfree make my pool cloudy?
Phosphate removers precipitate phosphates in the water so can make the water cloudy initially. Phosphate removers and algaecides are unnecessary extra cost items since chlorine alone can keep a pool free of algae, but you need to maintain a Free Chlorine (FC) level suitable for the Cyanuric Acid (CYA) level.
Does Phosfree lower pH?
Yes. Pool Perfect + Phosfree has no effect on chlorine and pH levels.
