Are Bare wetsuits good?
BARE has created two wetsuits that are a great investment for watersport enthusiasts. Both the Revel and Elate are super flexy which makes moving around in and on the water really easy. We think these are a great choice for warm water diving, ocean swimming, surfing, and other watersports.
Can you pee in a wetsuit?
Urinating inside a dry wetsuit is definitely not a good idea – it will start stinking and corroding the seams and stitching of your second skin. While in the lineup, if peeing is the only option, let some saltwater get in and drain out, avoiding lying down on your board for a long time.
Should you wear anything under a wetsuit?
It is a common question, and the answer is no, a wetsuit is not waterproof! You must bare this in mind when deciding what to wear under a wetsuit, as anything under the suit will get wet. Some thicker suits are knows as “Semi-Dry” suits, but again, whatever you wear, will get wet!
How should a scuba drysuit fit?
They should get within 3 or 4 inches of each other before there is binding. It’s ok if the suit is a little tight across your back when your elbows are touching. Generally speaking, less room in a drysuit is better – lots of extra space inside a suit is hard to heat and can make for a ‘colder’ suit.
How do you measure yourself for a drysuit?
The following measurements should be taken on the person’s front:
- Head. Above the eyebrows straight around head.
- Neck. Around neck at widest point.
- Wrist. Across wrist bone (make sure hand is relaxed).
- Forearm. Widest point below elbow (arm relaxed).
- Biceps. Widest point on the upper arm (arm relaxed).
- Armhole.
- Chest.
- Waist.
How do I choose a drysuit?
Fit is crucial when selecting your drysuit. It’s important to choose a suit that does not restrict your normal range of motion, is easy to operate and is not too tight around your neck, wrists and ankles. Another key factor to consider is the size of the drysuit’s boots if it has hard bottom boots.
