Are spellbinders compatible with sizzix?
The Sizzix® Adapter does allow the cutting of Spellbinders™ dies with the Sidekick™ & Tag-a-Long™, but this is limited to most Spellbinders™ Fonts or Mystery Dies, due to the limiting size of the Sizzix® Adapter. The Sidekick™ & Tag-a-Long™ do not allow for the embossing of Spellbinders™ dies.
Can I use other dies with sizzix?
Sizzix Thinlits, Sizzlits, and other wafer-thin dies: Not recommended for use on this machine.
Can you use sizzix dies in other machines?
We always advise use of our dies with Sizzix machines for best results, though our dies are compatible with some other machines. Providing your machine can accommodate the width of your chosen Thinlits die, this shouldn’t be an issue. Most of the die cutting machines will cut Sizzix Thinlits with ease.
Can you use Gemini dies in sizzix big shot?
Yes you can . The big shot comes with different cutting platforms so it will cut thin metal dies right up to big steel dies. Whereas The Gemini machine will only cut thin dies.

Is the Grand Calibur die cutting machine discontinued?
Update: Spellbinders has discontinued the Grand Calibur but the Spellbinders Platinum is an excellent machine that is sure to cover all your die cutting needs. What are the drawbacks of the Grand Calibur sewing machine?
One of the drawbacks of the machine is that it isn’t as small as some of the other machines like the Cuttlebug. The Cuttlebug folds up to save space, but the Grand Calibur is bulkier. Another drawback of the machine is that the old machine has had a bad reputation of failing.
Can the Grand Calibur cut and EMBOSS?
The Grand Calibur can cut, emboss, and stencil. Stenciling is a unique feature of Spellbinders that no other machine has. Another unique feature is that is can take full size 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of cardstock without trimming.
