Are there any snowmobile trails open in Maine?
As far as we know there are no open Trails. Trail Reports are provided to the public courtesy of the members of the Maine Snowmobile Association. Reports are accepted from MSA family and business members, groomers/projects.
Is Rangeley Lake frozen?
Rangeley, Mooselookmaguntic, Cupsuptic and the Richardsons are not frozen yet. Flagstaff has a big open area or black ice on the east end and a larger area of the east end with newer ice and drifted snow (light grey color). Aziscohos is covered but has a couple large holes two miles north of the dam.

Can I snowmobile on logging roads?
Snowmobiling on logging roads is EXTREMELY dangerous! Log trucks CAN NOT get out of the way or stop quickly. Continued snowmobiling on these roads could cause a trail closure. Please don’t jeopardize our trail system! Snowmobiles are NOT allowed to ride on any sidewalks in Rangeley. Not only is it unsafe, it is illegal and you will be fined.
Is there parking on the road in Rangeley?
Just a reminder, there is no parking allowed on ANY PLOWED LOGGING ROADS in Rangeley with out written permission. We have dedicated park and ride areas that are plowed out and maintained by the club. Information about these parking spot can be found HERE.
