E-purse, short for electronic purse, to use like cash to pay your fare. Store up to $300 E-purse value on your ORCA card. A combination of pass and E-purse. Add E-purse to cover any additional fares beyond your monthly pass.
Can I use my ORCA card to pay for someone else?
A single ORCA Card can be used to pay for two or more people traveling together, except on Community Transit’s Swift service.
Does ORCA card expire?
Youth, LIFT, and temporary Disabled RRFP cards all have an expiration date. After that date they become an adult ORCA cards instead of reduced fare cards. When tapped after the date of expiration, an adult fare will be charged. – LIFT cards usually expire within 2-3 years of issuance.

Can you swipe ORCA card twice?
Using an ORCA card lets you apply the full value of the fare from the first leg of a trip towards a transfer to another service – from Community Transit to King County Metro, for example. Transfer value expires two hours after tapping the card. You can transfer as many times as you need within those two hours.
