Is Demidekk any good?
I’d say Demidekk Ultimate is a step up in terms of quality and overall finish. Recoat time is 4 – 5 hours depending on conditions but touch dry in around 2 hours. This product can be tinted to most colours. Demidekk Ultimate is a fantastic product in my opinion.

What is the difference between demidek butinox 1 and 2 and 3?
Butinox 1 is an exterior oil based translucent wood stain which shows up natural grain of the wood. Butinox 2 is an exterior oil based opaque wood stain/paint. Butinox3 is an exterior water based opaque hybrid wood stain/paint. Demidek ultimate (my favourite) is a water based opaque hybrid wood stain/paint.
What is the best butinox primer to use?
On bare or new wood use the Visir primer. This is very oily as in petroleum oily and soaks in and seals the timber. Whichever Butinox you’re using either 1, 2, or 3, then use that if the substrate needs building up not an undercoat.
