How does McGill meal plan work?
The Mandatory Meal Plan is a declining balance plan which means that funds are deducted from your account each time you purchase food on campus.

Where can I use McGill flex dollars?
Your flex dollars can be used at any of our on-campus dining locations such as Subway, Vinh’s, Quesada, etc.
Is McGill library open to public?
Can the general public access the McGill Library? Due to University directives, we will not be open to the general public at this time. The Library will be open for University business only.
How do I top up my McGill meal plan?
Topping up your Mandatory or Saver Meal Plan After you go to the Student Accounts Menu, scroll down to Meal Plans, and then “Choose Top Up.” Some points to remember: The amount must be in whole dollars. The amount must be a minimum of $25 and cannot exceed $800 on any given day.
Why is a meal plan mandatory?
Food sharing is one of the main pressure points on roommate relationships. Without a meal plan, differences in students’ ability to pay for food would add to these tensions. We would be concerned about students choosing not to eat or choosing inadequate meals due to their worries about buying food.
Where is ONEcard accepted?
ONEcard Cash is accepted as payment at participating dining, vending, and merchant locations on (and near) campus. While some locations may charge a transaction fee when paying with debit or credit, you will never be charged a fee to pay with ONEcard!
Can I eat in McGill library?
Food is not permitted in the Library. Please visit McGill Food & Dining Services or McGill Flex Spaces for more information regarding where to eat on campus.

How do I book a group room at McGill University?
Group Reservations (10 rooms or more), please contact [email protected] or call at 514-398-6194. Cancellation policy: 48 hours notice is required in writing prior to your arrival date, otherwise the first night plus taxes will be charged. One double or queen size bed, work area, private washroom with hairdryer.
