Does Reicast need a BIOS?
reicast requires proper Dreamcast BIOS files! Just creating some random files and renaming them will (obviously) not work! On newer versions of reicast you can pinpoint to the folder that contains the data folder.

What makes this even more confusing is that Redream auto-generates “fake” proprietary bios with the names boot.bin and flash.bin if it doesn’t find files with those names on first startup. And Redream’s proprietary bios don’t work as well with all games as the original Sega bios.
