After 26 years, Roper Mountain pulls the plug on popular Holiday Lights program. Roper Mountain Holiday Lights has been a Christmastime tradition for thousands of families across the Upstate since opening more than 20 years ago.
How much is Roper Mountain Science Center?
You can get tickets to Summer Adventure at the Roper Mountain Science Center through their website. Tickets are $12/adults and $10/kids ages 4-16, military and senior citizens. Kids three and under are free. All tickets will be timed entry and you can purchase them online.

Yes, you may bring food and drinks into the zoo. There are two covered picnic shelters inside the zoo, one beside the concession stand and another across from the Education Building.

Yes, we do rent strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters. We offer single strollers, double strollers, wheelchairs, and ECV scooters. These items are first come, first serve and can be rented at the ticket booth.

During the school year, 400-600 students visit Roper Mountain every day for high quality “learning labs.” Public programs at the Center are Friday “Starry Nights” programs and the Second Saturday public day. In the summer we also offer Summer Adventures in the Hooper Planetarium and Symmes Auditorium on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
