Is ICAS difficult?
Although it tests all the fundamentals of the subjects mentioned, preparing for it can often be a stressful task for the students. ICAS exams usually start in year 2 and are usually the first big examination any student is sitting for.
How many questions are in the ICAS maths exam?

There are 35 questions. You have 35 minutes to answer the questions.
What do ICAS results mean?
All entries in the ICAS competitions receive an award or certificate, online access to their results/profile, and a results paper. The top 1 percent of each competition earn a “High Distinction”. “Distinction” is awarded for the next 10 percent.

What Level of ICAS Should My Child Attempt? Your child should attempt the paper created for the year they are currently at. Attempting one paper per subject equivalent to their year level is sufficient to make a fair assessment.
How long does ICAS take to complete?
ICAS can take anywhere between 6 – 12 months to do the evaluation. You may mail them regarding the current status and estimated time of completion. You can continue to wait, or you can get it verified by WES.
How do I find my ICAS results?
The results for all tests are available in the student section of the Results Portal using their TAP-ID and PIN printed on the back of their ICAS student certificate.

How many questions are on the ICAS math assessment?
Papers I and J of the ICAS Mathematics assessments evaluate students’ proficiency in five areas of math (algebra/patterns, chance/data, measurements/units, numbers/arithmetic and space/geometry). Both papers require calculators, and each paper contains 35 multiple-choice and 5 free-response questions that must be completed in 1 hour.
