Solo/Ensemble events shall consist of a minimum of 64 published measures or a performance time of at least 90 seconds. Soloists and ensembles need not be accompanied unless the accompaniment is required by the score.

Scheduling and adjudicator selection is done by WSMA. Provide opportunities for students to understand the relationship of music experiences to other life experiences. Music Selection – Students and their teachers choose a musical selection from the WSMA Festival Music List to study.
How do I Register my students for WSMA competitions?
Registration – Solo & Ensemble registration is completed online by teachers from WSMA member schools. Solo & Ensemble registration is in MyCenter under “District Festival”. The student reports to the performance room at the assigned time. The student introduces themself and their selection, then performs.
