How do you get up Lookout Mountain?
If you’re riding up to the top of Lookout Mountain on the Incline, then you’re a short walking distance away from Point Park and a short walking distance from viewing seven states. You will need to drive to Rock City to reach the observation point, which is three miles down East Brow Road.

Located atop Lookout Mountain just outside of Chattanooga, I’m convinced Rock City is one of the most beautiful and picture-worthy places in the US. Rock City is not for the claustrophobic or for those who have difficulty walking or navigating narrow spaces, but everyone else will really enjoy it.
Is the drive to Lookout Mountain scary?
It’s not scary. There are several ways to get to the top of Lookout Mountain, one of them has a beautiful overlook of the valley while meandering up to the top. The road can get a little ‘curvy’ for a moment; but the mountain is not that tall comparatively speaking.

Most guests spend 2-3 hours at Ruby Falls. Be sure to allow plenty of time to take in the view from the historic Lookout Mountain Tower and Blue Heron Overlook, grab a bite to eat, and browse around the Village Gift Shop.
