What is KeyKeg?
KeyKegs are essentially a sterile bag within an outer plastic sphere capable of holding pressure. When filled the inner bag expands to fill the outer plastic sphere. When served the beer leaves the bag and the space in the sphere is replaced with the serve gas.

Is KeyKeg real ale?
In keykegs, real ale continues to undergo secondary fermentation and is then dispensed by gas pressure (carbon dioxide or compressed air) being applied to the space between the outer and inner parts of the containers. However, not all beer dispensed from keykegs is real ale.
How long will a KeyKeg last?
3-4 weeks
After tapping, beer will stay fresh in a KeyKeg for 3-4 weeks on average. The shelf life of the beer depends on the type of beer, storage conditions and cleanliness of the draft system.
Can blade kegs be recycled?
Yes, the packaging is 100% recyclable. It is also extremely efficient considering that one single keg holds eight litres of beer. Recommendation is to dispose of the kegs in the designated recycling bins or bags.

What do pubs do with empty kegs?
The distributor picks up the empty keg at the bar or restaurant and returns it to the brewery when they go to pick up fresh kegs. At the brewery the keg is washed, flushed, sanitized and refilled using special fittings with delicious beer by gravity or pressure.
Are Poly kegs reusable?
The PolyKeg PRO one-way keg cannot be reused, shouldnot be released into the environmentand should be depressurised immediately after use and disposed of empty at authorised collection points.
