My 33-inch (285/70/17) Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs began their service life with tread blocks 18/32 of an inch deep. In my August 5,000-mile video review, I reported that depth to be 16/32, which projected a lifespan of about 40,000 miles.

Goodyear calls the Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar their “best tire for versatility on- and off-road.” For extra strength the tire is built with DuPont Kevlar. Goodyear also says the tire has superior traction through rain and snow. The tire is warrantied to deliver 60,000 miles of tread life.
When should I replace my Duratracs?
Also depends on how much you off road.. When you get down towards the wear bars, the tire will still be safe, but you’ll have lost a fair bit of tread depth which will reduce the tire’s capability in mud/sand/snow. If you do a lot of off-roading, you might want to consider replacing them earlier.
Are Goodyear DuraTrac good on highway?
With that said, the Wrangler DuraTrac is among the best commercial on/off-road tires for on-road driving. Stability is excellent, even with heavy cargo on board, and there is ample acceleration traction. Cornering grip is good, but certainly not on the level of commercial highway tires.
Are Wrangler DuraTrac tires loud?
They are not as quiet as stock, but not as loud as say MT’s. They do have a low pitch hum that I fond soothing. Around 80 mph they do resonate slightly but still a nice even tone. I love my Duratracs.
