Yes, even the newer MacBook Pros are still based on the same Intel Skylake architecture and form-factor they were using in 2016, and it’s plenty fast. The Retina screen with P3 color gamut is gorgeous, too. I wouldn’t buy anything older unless it’s a secondary computer or you need a lot of legacy ports.
