Identify your product qualities. You can’t create a good packaging without knowing your product.
Learn about your customers. Take the time to analyze your target audience and build your customer persona. How old is your average client and where do they work?
Identify your sales channels. Make a list of all the sales points you’re using: supermarkets,street kiosks,online stores,your own website,etc.
Select the right packaging. A bottle,tissue bag,cardboard box or something else?
Select the right wrapping. There are three types of wrapping: outer wrapping,inner wrapping,and packaging. We’ve talked about the packaging in the previous step.
Consult your brandbook. Once you’ve decided on the type of packaging and wrapping,you need to focus on its design.
Add the necessary information. The information displayed on the packaging usually includes the name and image of a product,company slogan,corporate logo,etc.
Don’t confuse your customers. Packaging must make it easier for the customer to guess what’s inside.
Think about where your packaging will be coming from. If you’re going to make the packaging yourself,prepare to answer a series of important questions,e.g.
Plan your budget. The production costs of your packaging are something you need to think as early as at its design stage.
What is box design?
Three-box design is a broad automotive styling term describing a coupé, sedan, notchback or hatchback where—when viewed in profile—principal volumes are articulated into three separate compartments or boxes: engine, passenger and cargo.
What is package designing?
Simply defined, package design is the discipline of creating the container, graphics and visible outer presence of a product a consumer buys at retail or might receive in the mail. This container may range from a simple bottle and label to an elaborate box or system of boxes and inner packaging.
What is industrial packaging?
Industrial Packaging. Industrial packaging is used to package a product during or after the manufacturing process. This is usually, but not always, done at the production site and requires specifically customized industrial packaging solutions tailored to the product in question.
