What happens if you put Calphalon in the dishwasher?

If you have old cookware, not necessarily Calphalon, another way to check for induction compatibility is to take a regular magnet and see if it will stick to the bottom of the pan. If it does, it will work on induction. However, Calphalon Contemporary stainless steel and Calphalon Tri-Ply stainless are induction.
Is it safe to use a scratched Calphalon pan?
Yes, Calphalon is safe when scratched. Some people worry that the coating contains PTFE, which is what is used in Teflon. But the PTFE in the coating is completely safe, providing the cookware is maintained while using it. It’s not toxic and doesn’t release any PTFE providing you maintain it.
Can you use cooking spray on Calphalon pans?
CALPHALON SIGNATURE STAINLESS STEEL We recommend not using aerosol cooking sprays as they contain a chemical propellant that is difficult to remove. Instead, use and oil mister with olive or vegetable oil or dab a bit of oil on a paper towel and carefully wipe the interior of the pan.
