Download Festival has confirmed it has been cancelled for 2021. The UK’s premier hard rock festival was hoping to take place on 4-6 June this year, but has had to be cancelled for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Download became one of the first major festivals to cancel its plans for a full-scale festival in 2021, following on from another Covid-enforced postponement in 2020. The full line-up for the pilot event will be announced on Friday May 28 at midday.
