Is the M11 a good gun?
The M11 is more often preferred for carry over the M9 service pistol for its shorter overall size, smaller grip frame and weight. The P228 and M11 represented an achievement for SIG Sauer in providing the user with a reliable and accurate high-capacity compact semiauto. The SIG Sauer M11-A1 carries that torch.

What is the difference between the 229 SAS and the M11A1?
Physical stats and specs are nearly identical. The SAS capacity is 13 rounds in 9mm vs. 15 for the M11A1 which I cannot understand since they are virtually the same gun. If intended for carry, you may find the dehorned slide and frame (i.e., Sig Anti Snag – SAS) of the 229 SAS to be of value.
What are the complaints about the SIG m11-a1?
From the research I have done, the complaints about the M11-A1 is that it is not an exact replica of the military issue M11, which is a 228. Alot of people want Sig to produce the P228 again, and was hoping the M11-A1 would be it. But basically its a 229 with the milled stainless slide, no rail, the Short Reset Trigger, and phospated internals.
How many magazines does the m11-a1 come with?
M11-A1 comes with 3 15 round magazines. It also comes standard with Sig night sights, SRT trigger, phosphate coated internals, laser etched Sig insignia on top of slide, two piece grips, and the gimmicky UID label on the side.
Is the M11A1 Nitron finish worth it?
If intended for carry, you may find the dehorned slide and frame (i.e., Sig Anti Snag – SAS) of the 229 SAS to be of value. The M11A1 gets you the phosphate coating on the internal which is supposed to be superior to nitron finish. For my environment, nitron is good enough.
