POLYETHYLENE (PE) The original core used for the first bodyboards. The PE core gives the bodyboard flex which generates projection and instant response for the rider. PE is also good for colder water conditions, since low water temperatures increase the stiffness of all cores.

Performance: The combination of surface area and rail created a tendency to track, making small adjustments at speed more difficult. But they are great all-around fins, good for surf both tiny and juicy. Analysis: Not only do the Yucca’s work well, they look sick. Thrust: The fastest set of fins, without a doubt.

Do you wax a bodyboard?
Normally, wax is needed in the areas where your hands grab the board, along the rails, in your chest, lower abdominal area, elbows, arms, and hips. The chest is always sliding on the bodyboard, so extra wax is definitely a good idea. Smaller riders also wax down the genital contact area of the bodyboard.
