What do chameleons need in their tank?
A chameleon needs to be kept in a large terrarium where it can walk around and climb freely. The terrarium should be made of glass and mesh to allow sufficient airflow in and out of the chameleon’s habitat. The terrarium also needs to be taller and wider to allow the chameleon to climb.
What do chameleons need to be happy?
Keep chameleons physically and visually separate from one another. Deliver water by misting the cage twice daily and by using a drip system. Provide heat with a basking light 10-12 hours a day. Include exposure to artificial UVB lighting or natural sunlight 10-12 hours a day.
What do chameleons like the most?
The best chameleon diet Chameleons happily live on a diet of live crickets, meal worms, roaches, and other insects. Silk worms and wax worms are favorites, but because they are fatty should not comprise a majority of a chameleon’s food. Some chameleons also eat baby mice.

Chameleons prefer a drop in temperature at night, we recommend a low wattage heat bulb such as a Nightlight Red or Nocturnal Infrared Heat Lamp. UVB Lighting is essential for chameleons to process calcium in captivity. UVB Lighting should be left on for 10-12 hours per day and turned off at night.
Does a chameleon drink water?
Chameleons, like all living beings, need water to survive. They need lots of water and they need to be given it in different ways to how animals usually drink it. Chameleons drink water by licking droplets off leaves. They need a lot of water to stay adequately hydrated.
Can chameleons eat banana?
Certain types of fruits can be a good supplement to a chameleon’s diet. Choose fruits that are high in nutrients and that possess a high calcium to low phosphorus ratio. Some fruits in this category are apples, peaches, blueberries, prickly pear cactus, mango, melons, bananas and cantaloupe.
