How long should table centerpieces be?
As a general guideline, you’ll want to keep your tall pieces at 24” or higher and your short pieces at 12” or under. Some clients are hesitant about using tall centerpieces. If your client decides to nix the talls, you’ll need to adjust your decor accordingly.
Are you supposed to light decorative candles?
Candles should be lit just before guests sit down to dinner, so plan to light them about ten minutes before you’re ready to serve the meal. That way, the wicks have time to burn a little and the ambiance is set before guests enter the dining room.
How tall is too tall for centerpiece?
A “tall” centerpiece should never obstruct guests’ views, or it’s certainly not tall enough. At least 30” is recommended; however, we think between 32-36” is a great height. Once you put the arrangement atop of a vessel of that height, it’s standing at least 5 feet off the table, which accomplishes the grand look!

– Cut our first piece – Stacked it on top of the next piece to cut – Slid the stack over until the template was snug to the (non-moving!) saw blade – Removed the template piece & and sawed away (see video below)
