What is an ICPC form?
Form ICPC-100A is the sending agency’s formal written notice to the receiving state of its intention to make an interstate placement and a request for a finding as to whether the placement would or would not be contrary to the interests of the child. With most placements it is also a formal request for a home study.
What happens after ICPC approval?
Once placement is approved, how long does it take to move the child? It is up to the sending entity with custody/jurisdiction of the child (i.e. public child welfare agency, private adoption agency, court, parent, etc) to decide if and when to place the child, and to make arrangements to place the child.
Can ICPC be denied?

Requesting an ICPC: Employees or volunteers will need to apply directly for an ICPC. They can apply online or they can apply by post, stating the name of the school in which they will be employed.

There is no set period of time for which the ICPC is considered to be valid. Embassies, High Commissions, consulates or other authorities will usually require you to produce a Police Certificate which has been issued less than six months before your visa interview or travel date.
