I prefer using water based inks for my fabric printing, mostly because oil based inks are stickier, more smelly, and dry much more slowly.
Does speedball ink wash out?

Speedball recommends 24-48 hours. I am usually trying to get shirts done the night before I need them. Personally, I haven’t had any problems with heat setting them after less than 24 hours of drying.

Speedball’s Water-Soluble Block Printing Inks can be removed from clothing. As quickly as possible, blot the excess ink from the fabric. Place a stain remover (e.g. Tide, Shout, etc.) to pre-treat the area and then wash as directed.
