Why is my Bestway pool pump leaking?
In virtually every instance, leaking water at the pump is caused by bad seals or by loose-fitting connections—or both. There are three important seals around the pump itself—one that seals around the filler cap where the cartridge is inserted, and one each for the water inlet hose and outlet hose.
Can you use Intex filter pump on Bestway pool?
An Excellent Pool Filter! I currently have the Intex Krystal Clear Pool Filter Cartridge Pump paired up with a Bestway Swimming Pool and it works perfectly. The filter that came with the Bestway pool (800+ gallons) was underwhelming and the water would not turn over enough to keep the pool clean.

How do I stop my pool pump from leaking?
You can also make a fairly good, almost permanent repair using Pool Putty or Silicone Sealant, if the fitting is not overly loose. While the pump is running, apply a heavy bead of Pool Putty or Silicone, so that it will be sucked into the void. Keep the pump running for 24 hours to allow it to harden in place.
Why is my filter pump leaking?
The pump lid can leak water and does need replacing sometimes as it is in the weather elements or can crack. If it is leaking water when the pump is off, the pool pump is leaking and you need a replacement lid. The pump lid O-ring needs to be tight and have lubrication in order to make a seal.
Why is my pool pump full of air?
Air bubbles in your pool mean that air is being sucked into the line on the suction side of the pump. The pool water level is too low. The strainer pot lid isn’t on tight or its O-ring is loose/absent/compromised. The union between the valves and the pump isn’t tight or its O-ring is loose/absent/compromised.
