Mongolia likely has the world’s healthiest taimen populations. Due in part to our conservation efforts, the fishing has never been better. We catch and release hundreds of taimen annually. Every angler definitely has a chance to catch monster fish.

As these are basically a big trout, we can eat them like trout. Baking, broiling, grilling, smoking and pan frying all work well for Taimen. The fish is so large, though, that steaks are usually more readily available.
