Is Trinity School a grammar school?
We are Lewisham’s only “grammar style” school which means that the most academically able pupils on entry to Trinity are grouped into a grammar stream in order that they are challenged academically and make rapid progress.
What was Trinity School before?
After years of confusion with Whitgift School, in 1954 Whitgift Middle School was renamed Trinity School of John Whitgift. However the school’s Old Boys’ Club was still known as the Old Mid-Whitgiftians until early 2010, when a vote was taken to change the name to the Trinity Mid-Whitgiftian Association.
