Pencil Pleat, also known as Tape Top or 3” Tape curtains, is the standard heading for curtains and valances. Pencil pleat curtain heading usually consists of three rows of string threaded through it for three hook positions to suit all types of track and pole.

How do you put curtain tape on curtains?
Stitching the Tape to the Curtain. Straight stitch along the top and bottom of the tape. Take the material over to your sewing machine and use a simple straight stitch to sew across the top of the tape so it’s attached to the liner. Then, sew straight stitches along the bottom of the tape so it’s completely secure.

How do you attach curtain tape to curtains?
Taking your curtain tape, tuck 1.5 to 2″ between the layers at one end and pin in place.
- Work your way along the crease, pulling your curtain fabric and curtain tape tight as you go, removing each pin and replacing it to attach the curtain tape.
- Sew along the top of the curtain tape about quarter inch in from the edge.
What is Pleater tape?
Best Pleat Pleater Tape is 4 inches wide and used in drapery headings to make creating pleats easy. Use with traverse pleater hooks to make triple pinch pleated curtains. Sew the tape to the back of the heading and side the ends of the hooks into the pockets on the tape to make perfect pleats.
Can you see through net curtains during the day?
