As of the first of the year, the beloved New York City company has been renamed Aguilar Musical Instruments, LLC. Co-Founder Dave Boonshoft shared this message on Facebook on January 5th: “Big news for me and Aguilar Amplification! I’m happy to tell you that Aguilar Amplification has become part of the Korg USA family.

Why are bass amps solid state?
Solid-state bass amps use transistors and diodes as their way of amplification. Without power tubes and less circuitry, it allows for fewer components within the unit. Therefore can decrease the size of the amp chassis, allowing them to be portable, super loud, and ultimate gigging amps.
