Is Fremantle public golf course open?
The course is currently open for play on a modified layout but will be closed when the redevelopment commences on July 1. The driving range and practise facilities will also be closed during the redevelopment. The official opening of the new course with temporary club house facilities is scheduled for May 2021.

How far is it from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle?
If you include a walk around the castle walls, it is around 4 miles from Craster car park to Dunstanburgh Castle and back (2 miles each way). It is difficult to get lost – just follow to coast line. The walk is flat (although a little rocky in places) and easy for little legs.

Is Dunstanburgh Castle dog friendly?
DOGS ARE ALLOWED! Unlike the national trust (who are only partly responsible for this site) English Heritage welcome dogs at the majority of their sites. over a year ago. We did walk with our dogs to the castle and were allowed in with them as long as they were on the lead and under control.
