Why did Weaver stop making scopes?
It turns out that ATK decided that it no longer made financial sense to continue the Weaver brand of scope, and instead, they wanted to focus their efforts more on the other rifle scope lines under their control.

Made in El Paso Texas USA by Weaver Scopes. This one was made in the 1940’s. I had to go back to a 1948 catalog to find this exact scope. Original cost in 1948 was $45. That was a lot of money back then. All steel construction, well made and built to withstand hard abuse. Great condition for a rifle scope that is around 66 years old.
