According to Matt Chin, one of the Canadian presenters, Splatalot was cancelled because the lease on the castle obstacle course ran out. He clarified this in a 2020 TikTok. Since its abandonment, the location in Amaranth, Ontario has been the target of many trespassers, including YouTubers.
