How do you trigger Castanas?
Mirage’s Hall of Mirrors can be used to increase the number of Castanas that can be planted, but the holograms’ Castanas will detonate a few seconds after impact; though they will not damage the player and can still also be detonated manually in the given time they are active.
How can I get Sancti Castanas?
Acquisition
- The Sancti Castanas can be acquired by reaching the Rank of Flawless with New Loka, and spending 100,000 Standing.
- Syndicate weapons can be also be acquired via Trading, but only for unranked copies without Forma and Orokin Catalyst installed.
Are Sancti Castanas good?
They’re still not great, but the pickings are slim for silent secondary weapons. Fun to use on lower level missions though. Couldn’t test it in Sortie yet but Kuva Flood was no problem. Some enemies needed two throws but that is quickly done.
Is the Castanas good?
They’re the closest thing to an actual Grenade you’ll find in Warframe likely for some time. So if you’ve been waiting for grenades, and the Penta being a primary weapon was too much for you, this baby is it. A silent weapon, including its explosions, the Castanas itself does no damage when it initially strikes.

The Sancti Castanas can be acquired by reaching the Rank of Flawless with New Loka, and spending 100,000100,000 to purchase. As with all Syndicate Weapons, the Sancti Castanas cannot be chosen as the free offering upon ranking up to Flawless rank.

The Castanas are the first thrown secondary weapon that delivers Area of Effect damage. Penta grenade launcher, which also allowed users to detonate on command. The word Castañas means “chestnuts” in Spanish and Greek, judging how the knives are thrown, then “open” themselves, revealing their explosive cores.
How many charges can a castanas charge at one time?
New Loka Operatives found within Syndicate Missions use this weapon, however due to the Castanas’ heavy arcing, their shots will often land on the floor far from their target at range or become stuck upon a cover or wall. Up to 6 charges can be active at one time.
